Joanie Dodds: From Runway to Run My Renovation

If you have been an avid fan of America’s Next Top Model, one of the things that you may ask is where are the contestants are right now? There are some that have pursued modeling while there are some that may be trying out television just like Joanie Dodds.


DIY Network will launch a new show entitled Run My Renovation in the middle part of the year. Run My Renovation is a television show that features several homes that they will renovate to redesign them. The only difference is that instead of the contractors or the hosts to decide on the renovation, they would ask audience to go online and vote for the designs that they want to have for the featured house or rooms like fixtures and others. This show will feature Joanie and John De Silvia, a licensed contractor, as the host and co-host respectively.


Joanie Dodds was a contestant in ANTM cycle 6 where she ended being a runner up even with consistently strong photographs and nailing her CoverGirl commercial. She went on a final runway test along side with Danielle Evans, who was hailed as the Top Model for that cycle.


Can’t remember Joanie? She is the preacher’s daughter who made Tyra Banks to drop her jaw in telling her story about rebelling against her father by doing some amateur nights at strip club and being a cage dancer for some time. But later on, she wowed Tyra after seeing her test prints by having a model presence in every shot. Another thing to remember about her is that she was the one who spent hours in the dentist’s office just to extract her snaggletooth and fix her teeth. During their Thailand challenge, she impressed professional classical Thai dancers as well as the prominent person in Elle Thailand with her version of their classical Thai dance and eventually winning the challenge. She also impressed Jay Manuel by producing good photos while balancing on the elephant’s foot and climbing the big creature on her own. She was also the first one to set a number of records in the ANTM history like being the first one not to be included in the bottom two until the final runway, greatest number of first call outs and three-consecutive first call outs.


Currently, she is still modeling and has been a guest judge in Vietnamese Modeling Project. This show does not have any announced date and time yet but it was estimated to air around August this year.

For the Adam Lambert Fans – Here Are The Tour Dates!

The young singer is announcing his first ever tour this summer which would be opened every stop by fellow American Idol finalist Allison Iraheta. Lambert is leaving for Europe for the promotion of his album and will go back to the US to begin preparing for his series of concerts.

The tour called as Glam Nation will start in June and Adam is excited in inviting everyone to come, join and watch. He told E! News that everything will be theatrical and said, “Who knows? Maybe I’ll make out with a snake.”

Jonny Fairplay
His name may be Fairplay but if you watched Suvivor Pearl Islands, you can say that he did not play fair. In the reward challenge, he has lied that his grandmother died and he want to learn more about what happened to her. He won the reward challenge with the help of Burton, a fellow castaway who felt sorry for him. In the end, Fairplay stated that everything was a lie and his grandmother is still alive.

As for Jeff Probst, he stated that this is the “greatest lie” that has been said throughout the whole history of the Survivor.

Brad Womack
Handsome and hot. These are the characteristics that women love about every guy featured as “The Bachelor.” However, Brad Womack may have these characteristics but he is not that liked by many viewers.

Why? This is because he did not give the final rose to any of the last two candidates. Although it’s his choice, viewers as well as Jenni Croft and DeAnna Pappas (the contestants), were left with their jaw dropped.

Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy Join Split Up Society

Their fifth year marked the life span of Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy as they have tweeted their split up this year. However, their tweets showed no sign of bitterness as they stated kind words about how they have been happy with each other for the last five years.





The Yes Man star and former Playboy model started dating in December of 2005 but has not formally announced their relationship until June of 2006. During McCarthy’s guesting in The Ellen DeGeneres Show, she stated that they have decided to live together but has not pointed out that they don’t have plans of getting married. But Carrey almost… and that is almost, did a mock marriage proposal to her for Yes Man’s promotional means.





Currently, Jim Carrey stars the film I Love You Phillip Morris Together with Ewan McGregor while Jenny McCarthy continues to be an autism advocate after her own son was diagnosed and suffered autistic symptoms.

Former American Idol Apprehended

Former American Idol finalist was copped in Georgia on March 29, 2010 because of having a fight with another woman.


Stephanie Edwards, who is now 22 years old, was caught by cops fighting with another woman in the street. The police stopped the two women and were arrested after making a scene in Savannah. The primary reason why they fought was Edwards confronted the other woman because of being harassed through phone calls. They were then asked to come with the cops to the nearest jail in the area to settle the matter.


If you will remember Stephanie Edwards, she auditioned for American Idol’s sixth season and Memphis, Tennessee. She made the cut for the season and work herself up to secure her spot in the top 12 along with Jordin Sparks. However, her Idol journey ended early as she was eliminated when America voted for their top 10 American Idol, which Jordin Sparks won the season.


As for the case, Edwards got several scratches on the face and chest. The other woman got a bruised eye because of the incident. Bond has been settled for this case.

Ben Stiller 's Potential Lyme Disease

After incurring a very minor accident in Mozambique, Ben Stiller seems to still have some of the inflammatory symptoms on his legs for almost a month now. In Mozambique, he accidentally stepped on a covered ditch and stretched out his knee resulting to stiffness and pain.


After coming back to the country, he got a check up and found out that there is fluid in his leg. They took out some fluid so they can conduct some tests on it.


There has been some tests done and the physician stated that he may have Lyme disease. If it’s not Lyme disease, he would need to undergo another test like orthoscopy.


The cause of Lyme disease is a type of Borrellia bacteria that are usually carried by ticks. Usually, it will have a rash with a pattern of a bull’s eye or a target and can be treated with antibiotic.

This celebrity’s son has also incurred the same problem coming from their East Coast trip and now this disease is speculated as the one to be causing the inflammation and stiffness on his leg. For now, results of concluding tests are still waiting for results to know whether this is really Lyme’s disease or other problems.
