Most of the pictures I've come across have been fairly dull to me and the whole dark vampy lips and dark eyes thing is getting old for me. When I came across this spread in September's W magazine it was so refreshing! I can't hide the fact that I prefer beautiful bright colors to anything else. I was so inspired that I think I'm actually going to do a similar look for a contest being run by megha8359 on youtube to create a holiday/winter look. I love the combination of a bright red with soft bright blue eyes. Winter is the season where you can get back into the cool colors, and that's exciting for me! I've always loved the retro look as well and find this style of photography to be really down to earth and beautiful!
